Training
Foundation offers three mechanisms for delivering training to customers.
On-site Training
This is our default method for customer training as feedback has consistently shown that users prefer it. It requires the provision of a quiet, spacious room with no more than six PCs for delegates as per our recommended specifications. In addition, we recommend connection to the network to enable delegates to access your system demonstration or training databases. Delegates are given training manuals, which can be tailored to match your processes if required, and these can be taken away at the end of the course. The benefits of this approach are:
- The hassle free knowledge that we are coming to you
- Your delegates receive training in a familiar environment and are on-hand in case of emergencies
- You avoid the cost of delegates travelling to our training centre and the potential cost of their accommodation when training courses run longer than one day
- Training can potentially be conducted on your own data that is familiar to your users thereby helping them to learn and retain knowledge
Off-site Training
Alternatively, Foundation can provide courses away for your own offices in one of a number of custom built training facilities catering for up to six people to be trained at any one time on your software modules. Typically, more notice is required for this method in order to ensure that the facilities are available at a time that fits into your project timeframe. Delegates are given training manuals, which can be tailored to match your processes if required, and these can be taken away at the end of the course. The benefits of this approach are:
- The training environment is fully set up and ready to go
- You do not have to provide any facilities, hardware, technology support, etc
- Your delegates are removed from their office which ensures they can concentrate without the normal distractions of their day-to-day jobs
iConsultancy
Foundation has introduced iConsultancy as a new way of delivering a range of services, including training. This involves connecting to your network and your system via the Internet using Webex technology.
One of our consultants can then conduct the training course whilst your delegates observe from their PCs, and they can listen to the tutor via a teleconference facility. At certain points your delegates can then take control of the system in order to practice what they have just seen. At all times the course remains fully interactive. The benefits of this approach are:
- Cost effective training delivery as iConsultancy is charged by the hour
- The convenience of remaining at your offices whilst still having interaction with a trainer
- No need to attend a complete training to course in order to address one specific area of interest
- No travel and subsistence costs
- No need to provide on-site facilities for our consultants
