Foundation Systems to implement e-Procurement solution at Not-for-Profit customer
December 2003 - After a lengthy evaluation and proof of concept process, one of our major customers in the Not?for?Profit sector has ordered an e-Procurement solution from Foundation.
The solution is based on the successful iPOS package, specifically developed to add web based requisitioning and purchasing to the core SunSystems financial modules.
The system will go live in April 2004, and will have around 250 users in a dozen locations placing requisitions, authorising purchases, progressing orders and matching invoices. iPOS posts commitment, accrual and invoice details directly to the SunSystems ledgers in real time.
The objective of the system is to improve control over the procurement process so that maverick buying is removed and budgetary limits are exercised. In addition, all purchases can be analysed and reported on to monitor expenditure patterns.
