North Hertfordshire Homes chooses Foundation Systems to help transform their services
December 2003 - North Hertfordshire Homes (NNH) was established in April 2003 and manages a housing stock of 8,500 homes and 1,000 garages. The company has 270 employees based at its Head Office in Letchworth, its Direct Works Depot also in Letchworth and Area Offices in Baldock, Hitchen and Royston.
To achieve their vision of transforming existing accommodation and services NNH set itself a number of key business objectives. Part of this process requires the introduction of new IT systems, including a new Finance system.
Based on advice from Robson Rhodes and a review of the marketplace, NNH concluded that SunSystems was the best fit for the requirements. Consequently, they issued an Invitation to Tender to three different suppliers of SunSystems, including Foundation. Because the software application was already decided the suppliers had to differentiate themselves purely on value added and quality of service. The evaluation criteria defined by NNH was:
- Cost of ownership
- Quality of support
- Quality of services
- Client base
- Financial viability
- Fit to requirements
Once tenders were submitted, NNH conducted a number of reference visits and telephone calls. The outcome of the tender process was the selection of Foundation as the successful supplier. The key reasons stated for this decision were:
- Foundation’s understanding of the social housing marketplace and of NNH’s requirements in particular
- The quality of software demonstrations provided
- The level of professionalism and expertise provided by our implementation team
- Our proximity to NNH’s main operations
