Customer Conference - The Wallace Collection, London; Wednesday 13th October 2004

Every year Foundation Systems holds a Conference in London, to which all our customers are invited, where we provide an update on what's new at Foundation. It's also an opportunity for our customers to put a face to the names of Foundation staff, and to meet and chat with other Foundation customers.

As well as making the agenda useful and informative, we try to hold the conference at wonderful venues which give our customers the chance to visit somewhere special. In the past we have used venues such as The Institute of Directors' head office and Newmarket racecourse.

This year we have selected the Wallace Collection as our conference venue. The Wallace Collection is both a national museum and the finest private collection of art ever assembled by one family. It was bequeathed to the nation by Lady Wallace, widow of Sir Richard Wallace, in 1897, and opened to the public just over three years later on 22 June 1900. Its first visitors were variously delighted, amazed and bemused. Among its treasures are one of the best collections of French 18th-century pictures, porcelain and furniture in the world, a remarkable array of 17th-century paintings and a superb armoury. The Collection is conveniently located just off Oxford Street in London, close to tube stations. You can learn more at www.wallacecollection.org.

All work and no play would make for a very dull Conference, so we have booked a special guest speaker. 2004 has been a notable year for sport with both Euro 2004 and the Olympics taking place, along with all the regular events like Wimbledon, The Open and Test Cricket. To get an amusing take on the sporting world from someone who sees it up close, we have asked one of the BBC's leading TV and radio sports presenters, Garry Richardson, to speak at the Conference.

Garry has worked for the BBC for over 25 years giving him a wealth of stories from the world of broadcasting including a hilarious meeting with President Bill Clinton, an encounter with Nelson Mandela and a controversial interview with Anna Kournikova. He is perhaps best known as the sports presenter on Radio 4's prestigious "Today" programme where he's become notorious for giving racing tips that never win. Our tip is that you don't miss your chance to see Garry in person - book your place at the Conference before places run out.

And just in case you need any further encouragement, at the end of the Conference one lucky customer will have the chance to win a Mini iPod in our prize draw. The Mini iPod lets you carry 1,000 of your favourite tunes with you in a player smaller than most mobile phones. Click here to learn more about the Mini iPod.
